DecisionMotivation 3/21/2007 High-magnitude buying surges were noted in all market sectors. The NASDAQ 100 (1/10) PVO was 21%, indicating that the volume seen on this day exceeded the average volume over the previous 10 trading days by 21%. The (1/10) PVO the S&P 500 and DJI was 10%. 3/22/2007 The NASDAQ 100 SBV Oscillator advanced above plus 33% and dropped below that level back (see NASDAQ 100 15-day SBV(16) chart). This reveals that there is a chance of a trend reversal. 3/23/2007 Buy Puts We left "Buy Puts" trade opened in order to close it later if the index moves in our favor. 3/26/2007 Sell Puts Today, an early strong dip generated sufficient buying volume (clearly seen on 5-day chart). The NASDAQ 100 15-day SBV(16) Oscillator dropped to minus 25% and then started to rise again. Even the SBV oscillator value did not hit the 33% level and the fact that it started to rise may indicate a possible short-term move up. Due to the above mentioned, we consider that it is safe to sell previously bought puts.
